Commissioner Monestime pushes for development at Gratigny Park site

Residents in the Gratigny neighborhood are a few steps closer to bringing a community park to their community, thanks to the help of County Commissioner Jean Monestime, District 2. For more than a

year, Monestime has worked to bring attention to the vacant Gratigny Plateau Park, 885 NW 117th Street in Miami.

During the past two weeks, he has held a series of community meetings for residents to give their input on the park and work with park designers, architects and builders who will eventually bring the community’s vision to life. The most recent meeting was held on Thursday, May 17, at Faith Community Baptist Church.
