Congresswoman Wilson sworn in for second term

Congresswoman Frederica Wilson was joined by members of her family recently during her swearing in ceremony in Washington, D.C. She continues to serve Florida’s 24th Congressional District and is now in her second term.
“I am honored and humbled to serve and will continue to fight for good jobs, quality education, and justice for all people,” Wilson said.
During her first term she focused on several items of note including: bringing economic opportunities to the District; providing greater safety and academic support for foster children; promoting the rights and Haitian and Haitian-American communities; and ending violence and racial profiling. During the 113th Congress, she will serve on the Education and the Workforce Committees.
“As a former teacher, principal, school board member, and state legislator with expertise in education policy, I look forward to advocating for education and economic policies that give all children and adults the opportunity to reach their full potential,” she added.

Mrs. Wilson is a great person and caring one. I would like to see her do more for African americans about a jobs program and bring more money to miami to start job programs. I have not seen much results her last term. I hope her second term she does better because we need it !!
