Unfortunately, the male is the stronger species and if he hits a woman, even in self-defense, it is still viewed as being unfair. That's why it is so important to walk away...even if they hit you with something...walk away. It is much easier to walk away then to have to explain to the police, the judge and/or society, why you--the stronger species--beat/hit/punched/slapped--the weaker one. Besides, you always have a choice in the matter and the ultimate decision to strike back rest with no one but you. After all, you cannot take someone else's hands and violently beat yourself with them. WALK AWAY!!! But the key is no one should hit or harm another person male or female. I know that there are men who are animals and treat women like punching bags but their are also men who have walked away while the women has picked up things hit the men with and the norm is ok she's a women it dont hurt man-up and have called the police when the man tries to protect himself.
