The Civil Death Penalty
Governor Scott: I’m requesting that you stop denying us our 14th Amendment Right to equal-protection of our ‘God-given right’ (Declaration of Independence) to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! Stop taking away our Civil Liberties once we have fulfilled our punishment.

The Purpose of this law—“is meant” purely and nothing more, to be—a Discriminative-Racist act! Jim-Crow Laws was abolished and all States within the United States abolished this despicable law, except a couple of States, one of which is FLORIDA.

However—Florida finally pushed for reforms of this law—until “you came along” and reinstituted it! “Republican” Governor Rick Scott reversed the 2007 reforms, making Florida the state with the most punitive law in terms of disenfranchising citizens with past felony convictions. What kind of Shit is this? How you playin?

You want prisoners to Recidivate—return to prison; evidence by you, Governor Rick Scott—blocking the light at the end of the tunnel? Preventing us from ENVISIONING ourselves becoming Righteous, Respectable, Responsible and Productive Citizens—who ‘now’ pay taxes!

With this Civil Death Penalty—we come out of prison the same way that we entered & DUMP right back into the same environment that we came from—under-educated, drug-dependent, and educated by ‘other prisoners’—on how to beat the system/law “the next time! Yes, the only education we receive—is from other prisoners who share their experiences on the streets.

We can’t get a normal, decent, ‘real job,’ with corporations and most companies. If you were convicted for selling drugs (more than half of inmates are there for selling drugs)—you cannot get financial aid to go to school (your tax dollars).

I want to practice Law—and open my law office in the heart of District 5; the most Impoverished and Crime-infested District within the City of Miami Florida—so that I can be “a role-model and an inspiration of hope” to the people (All of them) who are traveling down the negative roads which I once travel.

If Lonnie Robinson can come-up out of here and succeeded—then absolutely ‘no-one’ will have an excuse—because I not only been there and done that—I fell victim to all of the hardships’, adversities and vices which children’s growing up in our Nations ghettos—are subjected to!

But because of you, REPUBLICAN Governor Rick Scott—I cannot practice law—because I’m a convicted felon and my Civil Liberties were taken away from me—AFTER I served my punishment and paid my dues to society!

Well, Governor—you do not have to worry about having enough DEMOCRATIC VOTES to take you out of office—we are in Florida’s jails and prisons and the ones that ARE out—can’t vote? Keep the Poor Black Females on Welfare, so that they can produce a lot of Poor Black Boys to fill the inmate beds—10 years down the road? And when the females ‘daddy and baby-daddy’ gets out of Prison—ENTICE them to commit another crime? This is a Discriminative-Racist act!

Case closed:
I sent you a document (Gov. Rick Scott) via email and postal mail giving you my take on “what do we do”—when the Trayvon Martin case is over? You’ve established a taskforce to address issues with not only the Stand Your Ground Law—but also—how can we prevent this from happening again.

In my document I recommended that you take the money that is being used to build more prisons “well ahead of time” to make room for the young black males living in the subcultures of the inner-city ghettos who are 10 to 17 years of age; that this is where the State recruit inmates for beds.

I told you that when REPUBLICAN Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney stated to the world—that if elected he would help the Middle-class—but not the Poor! He said that the Upper-class was all set! He said that and I quote: The Poor has a safety net. And if the Safety net needs fixing—I will fix them! The Safety nets consist of Welfare, Food Stamps, free or pay little-than nothing as rent for Public Housing, WIC, etc.

I told you that ‘this means’ that he—will not lift a finger to up-lift the Poor Blacks “out of poverty! That ‘he will keep’ the bondage, bondage; the oppressed, oppressed; the poor, poor!

That he will ENTICE the people on welfare to ‘not try’ and get off of welfare by improving their economic-conditions. Simply because being on welfare is a better option that working for the minimum wage?

I told you that welfare ‘pays at-least twice’ than the minimum wage and that “you get a raise”—every time you bring another child into this world. The average number of children that a welfare recipient has—is 4. This means a raise in Welfare, Food Stamps, rooms for Public Housing, WIC, etc.

I told you that I see black girls today—who I can easily predict—will “continue the cycle” and follow in their Great grandmother, Grandmother and Mothers footsteps—of being a welfare recipient for life; the same way that the Prison Officials can look at the statistical population of the inner-city ghettos—to predict “how many inmate-beds” they will need five years down the road.

I told you that the State Prisons are nothing more than a for-profit Corporation; and that the State wants the Poor Blacks to remain living in the subculture of the inner-city because “poverty causes crime” and the State want these blacks to continue to make license plates (30,000 license plates per day; 4.5 million in a year), furniture for Government buildings, including mattress covers, brooms, mops, cleaning supplies, and other things sold to government operations. They also produce a line of very good and ‘very expensive’ office modular fixtures. etc., for 14 cents an hour. I was in error when I quoted the pay to be a whopping 50 cents an hour—its 14 cents!!

Governor Scott:—the State of Florida with its ‘get tough sentencing laws’—does not want to deter crime? This action is meant to have inmates ‘work for many more years’—until their sons come of age?

You—Governor Scott—are a Republican? Entice the people living in the subcultures to want-to better themselves, so that they can come-up out of poverty and live according to the norms of a regular society (without the requirement that we totally lose our blackness). Shouldn’t you want this Governor?

Well, let’s get busy!
Get us to see the light at the end of the tunnel? Get us be able to ENVISION ourselves succeeding? *Create jobs *Training *Mentors (blacks who come from our environment & succeeded) *Education-Cultivation—we should have MORE grammar & word pronunciation taught to us from the time we enter the public school system until we graduate. Teach us to “not want to fit the Profile” that makes us a threat to the George Zimmerman’s in this Country? Help us!!

Respectfully submitted in the name of JESUS

The numbers quoted in this article are only for 4 months of this year. Imagine the amount of people who've paid their debt that will be stripped from voting between now and November. Interesting indeed! When you have someone like Desmond Meade who is a third year law student that does so much for his community on a local and state level, what is the point of not restoring his right to vote, unless there are ulterior motives. I have yet to understand this decision by the Governor and his cabinet.

I don't understand how this law was allowed to pass. Why shouldn't voting rights be restored immediately once sentence has been served. There is only one reason for that- politics.
