Andrew Holness, 39 (center) was defeated last Thursday, Dec. 29 by Portia Simpson Miller, in an historic election that resulted in him losing his position as prime minister of Jamaica. Just a few weeks ago, Holness was in South Florida on his first trip ever to the area to talk about the key issues facing his country. He is pictured above with the children of some of the guests that attended a reception held in his honor. Holness said the economy in Jamaica was his top priority and that more jobs were particularly for entrepreneurs and small businesses.
