The youth of Opa-locka were treated with 150 bicycles for being good children during the year thanks to donations from community business owners in an effort spearheaded by City Commissioner Timothy Holmes. Prior to the giveaway, Holmes led the community in a moment of silence in honor of the children slain at Sandy Hook Elementary.
