Dr. Albert Rolle, brother of Naomi Rolle and Agnes Rolle-Morten who lived in Fort Washington, Maryland, died last week. Dr. Rolle finished from Not the largest, but the best in the class of 1950. Sympathy to his wife, children, sisters, classmates and friends. Hortense Jean Robinson-Jackson returned home and is the house guest of her aunt Francena Lewis-Robinson. Jean is also visiting her uncle and aunt, Walter and Claretha Lewis and the Heastie-Tynes and Hannah families. Welcome home Jean! Happy belated birthday to mother and daughter, Patricia Jennings-Braynon and Jina Marie Braynon, whose birthday was April 20th. Happy birthday sorors! Rose Moorman will be honored at the Orange and Black scholarship gala sponsored by the BTW Alumni Association. Rose will be presented with the Living Legend Award for outstanding service in areas of need or improving conditions in our community and society. Hearty congratulations to Soror Dorothy Bendrosss-Mendingall (Miami School Board member) who was recently honored by Urgent Inc., Center for Empowerment and Education with a classroom dedicated in her honor. A former principal and adult education administrator before being elected to the legislature and now the school board, she has made a lifelong commitment to promoting education as a means to unlock the doors of opportunity. Wedding anniversary greetings go out to: Cameron and Effie Culmer, 40 years, April 10; Lemuel A. and Florence Moncur, 57years, April 11; Mark and Yvonne McK. Delvilla, 26 years,April 12; and Antoin L. and Tracy Mathis, 16 years, April 13. Love birds of the week are: Harold and Shirley Clarke, 35 years, April 16; Wilfred and Julie B. Edwards, 13 years, April 17; and Gregory and Shelly Powers, 22 years, April 21. Congratulations to the Clark family. Harold C.M. and Andrea R. are the proud parents of their first child, Ariana Makayla Clarke, born March 14th. The elated grandparents are Harold S. and Maliney L. Clarke. The elated aunts are Kendra and Alesha J., uncle, Elton and little cousin Alexander C. I.
