Dont meddle, stay in your lane Mr. Braman

As a Black man who has been involved in civil rights since my teenage days, I was proud of the significant progress we have made by electing four Black Commissioners to the Miami-Dade Board of Commissioners. Although we certainly do not control the thirteen member commission, Black people do have someone to speak for them and look out for their interests. Along comes Braman, a white millionaire who has decided that he knows whats best for Black people. What gall! Some of the candidates he is backing such as Shirley Gibson and Allison Austin are good, but why replace one good person with another as soon as they get experience and power? I suggest that Braman find some other good cause for his money and let Black people govern themselves. Shelton H. Allwood, LCSW Miami
