Trayvon Martin prayer service attracts over 700 supporters

The parents of Trayvon Martin, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, were joined by a crowd of more than 700 people last Saturday, June 1st, including public leaders, clergy and members of the South Florida community at the Community Program of Peace, Justice and Prayer. The event was held at the Bethel Apostolic Temple in Miami. Sybrina and Tracy called for peace and prayers nine days before George Zimmerman was scheduled to go on trial for the murder of their son, Trayvon. Attorney Ben Crump, representing the family, said, If Zimmerman is convicted, It will show how far weve come since the days of Emmett Till.
