Miamians were saddened to hear of the recent death of A. Janie Henderson Reeves, the mother of The Miami Times’s publisher, Rachel J. Reeves. The funeral was held last Thursday. Deepest sympathy to Rachel in her great loss and her son Garth, who lost his beloved grandmother.
Sorry I missed your birthday bash last weekend Fredericka D. Wanza but it couldn’t he helped. Heard how fabulous last Saturday and Sunday were for you. Happy! Happy! May you continue to enjoy all of your birthdays!
Congratulations to Malvern Mathis, the newly-elected president of “Daughters of the King” at St. Agnes Episcopal Church. Welcome madam president. Leome S. Culmer served as the former president. Well done thy good and faithful servant.
Speaking of our “Daughters of the King,” St. Cecelia’s ECW Chapter’s 26th annual prayer breakfast was a fantastic success. Turner, Elizabeth Blue, Fredricka Fisher, Eddrea Goodmond, Chanel Jackson, Fitzhugh Johnson, Florence Moncur, Robin Moncur, Dr. Gay Outler, Audrey Strachan, and Sheryl Troutman.

Very sorry to have heard of the death of the mother of Barbara Coleman-Burroughs and mother-in-law of Dr. Roland Burroughs of New York City. Virginia Coleman died last Monday. Sympathy to the Coleman and Burroughs family.
