Edmonson walks the NW 18th Avenue corridor

Miami Times staff report | 10/10/2013, 9 a.m.

County Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson recently restarted her monthly walks through the NW 18th Avenue corridor between NW 62nd and 71st streets. She was accompanied by members of the Miami-Dade County Neighborhood Compliance, Solid Waste

Department and Police departments as well as volunteers from the Greater Miami Service Corps. Edmonson aims to clean-up the corridor, citing negligent property owners for overgrown lawns and yards, debris and garbage and dilapidated houses and commercial buildings, to encourage more businesses to open on NW 18th Avenue and to help the residents keep the neighborhood safe and clean.
