Tomorrow is not today
‘Enjoy life today, the Lord’s way, for tomorrow may never come

Matthew 6:34 (NKJV)
34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
When we are young and full of energy, we feel that we can conquer the world and we have all the time in the world to do whatever we want. I remember when I graduated from high school, some years ago.
My friends and I were talking about our future and the things that we wanted to do. We were excited and full of energy, ready to take the world by storm.
I was taught that you should set short term and long term goals, so you would always have a goal in view. As time went on, I started to realize that time was moving faster than I was in reaching my goals.
Then I realized that tomorrow is not today. What I mean is those short or long term goals were changing periodically and what I was putting off for tomorrow, was not being applied today.
As long as I kept looking forward to tomorrow, I was not making full use of today. Too many times we are caught up in thinking we have time, so we put things off for another day (tomorrow) when we are not sure if we will even see tomorrow.
Proverbs 27:1 (NKJV)
1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.
James 4:14 (NKJV)
14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? “It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”
So, let us not spend all of our time looking forward to what we can do tomorrow and let today pass us by.
