Florida Memorial president to speak at Mt. Hermon AME

Florida Memorial University President Dr. Roslyn Clark Artis will speak at Mt Hermon African Methodist Episcopal Church in Miami Gardens as part of “ Greek Sunday”  services on Sunday, April 27. The service will begin at 10am at the church, located at 17800 NW 25th Ave. in Miami Gardens.



Dr. Artis, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was unanimously appointed by the board of trustees as the13th president of Florida Memorial University. She is the first woman president in the school’s history. Dr. Artis is also a trustee scholar graduate in higher education leadership and policy from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from West Virginia University College of Law in Morgantown, WV. Dr. Artis has grown familiar with the South Florida community and has been appointed to multiple community and  corporate boards and associations.
