The diocese of southeast Florida will celebrate the life and accomplishments of Absalom Jones at 10 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, located at 1835 N.W. 54th St. The preacher for this occasion will be the reverend Lloyd Allen, bishop of the diocese of Honduras. Kathleen D. Walker is president.

Congratulations and our best wishes go out to Marcus J. Black history is everyday for us. Blacks live it every day. Memories of our ancestors, parents and grandparents branded in our souls. It is a piece of fabric our ancestors knew all about. We have come a long way but still have a long way to go.
