What you send out will return, it Boomerang

Galatians 6:7-(NKJV) says: Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

When I read the text the first word that came to my mind was “boomerang.”

A boomerang is thrown by an individual, but it does not stay out, it returns and falls near the thrower. We wonder at times why things happen in and around our lives, could it be a “boomerang” syndrome.

”Boomerang is defined in the Merriam Webster Collegiate Dictionary 11th Edition as; 1) a bent or angular throwing club typically flat on one side and round on the other so that it soars or curves in flight especially; one designed to return near the thrower. 2) An act or utterance that backfires on its originator.

Could it be that we have done or said some things in the past or present not thinking or concerned about who we may have hurt or even how it may have affected someone’s life?

Now we wonder why we are experiencing some of the things that we are. Boomerang!

Galatians 6:8–9 (NKJV) reads:

For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

And let us not grow weary while doing well, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Let us strive to remember that the seeds (actions) that we plant will one day come to past. So let us not be weary in well doing, because we do not see immediate results “for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart”. Try to plant good seeds in our lives and in the lives of those around us. Boomerang.
