Each week, get at least 2 ½ hours of moderate physical activity, 1 hour and 15 minutes of vigorous physical activity, or a combination of both.
Eat a nutritious diet, with five or more servings of fruits and vegetables each day, and don’t skip breakfast. It is also important to maintain a healthy weight.
Drink plenty of water. At least eight glasses a day is recommended.
Visit your healthcare professional for regular checkups and preventive screenings, such as Pap smears. Women 40 and older should have regular mammograms.
Protect your skin from the sun with these five practices - seek shade, cover up, wear a hat, wear sunglasses, and use sunscreen, regularly reapplying it when in the sun.
Avoid risky behavior, such as smoking, drinking excessive alcohol, and not wearing a seat belt or bicycle helmet.
Pay attention to mental health issues by managing stress, anxiety, and depression, and seek help if necessary.
Balance work, home, and play to boost your overall health.
