Volunteers bagged food for needy families at the City of Opa-locka Farm Share Food Distribution. Farm Share, a non-profit organization, collaborates with organizations, legislators and local officials to alleviate hunger across the state by distributing food to needy families.
Volunteers proudly helped patrons at the City of Opa-locka’s Farm Share Food Distribution. “We have been preparing for months to feed over 1,000 people today,” said Vice Mayor Kelley who disseminated groceries like fresh produce.
City of Opa-locka City Manager Kelvin L. Baker, Sr., Commissioner Luis B. Santiago and Vice Mayor Joseph L. Kelley assisted residents in line as they prepared to distribute grocery bags from Farm Share on February 7th at the City of Opa-locka’s Farm Share Food Distribution.
