The Honorable Ebrahim Rasool, The Republic of South Africa’s Ambassador to the United States of America, visited the campus of Florida Memorial University during his tour of South Florida. Ambassador Rasool engaged several students during a special one-on-one encounter and reminded them that “we are each other’s keeper.” During a public reception, he encouraged hundreds of revelers to “embrace their moments of greatness.” University President Dr. Henry Lewis III saluted the ambassador on his “humanitarianism, conviction and intelligence.” This engagement is a part of Lewis’ Vision 2020 initiative to expand collaborations and perform service internationally.
