One year ago, Feb. 26th, a young Black man’s life ended due to unabashed prejudice. Trayvon Martin was fatally shot while walking in a gated community of the central Florida town, Sanford, by an alleged neighborhood watch coordinator, George Zimmerman. Zimmerman is currently charged with second-degree murder and is out on bond. His trial is scheduled to begin in June.
